Is Your Curiosity a Sign of Your Interest?

How curious are you? How well do you communicate that curiosity? Do you ask questions? Or do you prefer to tell people what you know?
It has been my experience that, people who are self-centered have little interest in knowing about others. They wish to learn almost nothing from others.
However, an individual, who has taken great care of their needs, is usually the one who wants to listen to what others have to say. They enjoy getting to know others well. This kind of person has a great deal of self-esteem and, therefore is, a very curious being.
Do you know why people are often bored? Or, why they get bored in the first place?
Boredom is a sign of you having already done and/or lived everything already. It is also a sign of someone who has lost interest and of someone who has never ventured to have interest in anything more in their lives.
How many people do you know that get bored with a business? How about with their job? And what in relationships?
More often than not, it's because they stopped being curious about them. Their curiosity was no longer getting engaged in business or job or relationship. They effectively stopped seeing the wonderful nature of it and, therefore, also lost wonderment in living.
Do you think they communicated their ideas? Were they articulate in communicating their dreams? Or did they think they already knew all there was to know about their experiences in them?
That is probably why life became dull to them and they, in turn, became numb to themselves.
These kinds of people, you will find, also stopped being credible because people only feel that you care about anything when you have curiosity about things in general. And, that is probably why life became a drudgery to them. In effect, they became numb to themselves.
Think about it! Is it not easier to believe in people who care about life and people? Which people do you believe in? And which, do you have belief in? Are they not the people who are particularly focused and, have a clear direction they seem to want to follow?
The sad fact is, that no-one cares how much you know until, they know how much you care.
Of course, change makes us all uncomfortable. Yet, getting back into living requires us to change back into that wonderful person that was curious and ponderous. And, we understand that, change can hurt.
But would you rather be compatible with your boredom? Is it not best to grow? Or do you choose being comfortable being uncomfortable?
Get out of your comfort zone. It will make you dream again, I promise! Your life will become a new beginning and a series of adventures. You will be so keen to turn a new page in the new book that you are dying to write about your life. It will be the new book of life for you and, it will be all yours as you share your new adventures.
"Curiosity killed the cat", they say. What a shame that such an adage can have the power stop many people from being curious and having interest in life. But, speaking of cats, they also say that a cat has nine lives.
Do you think cats would be able to have so many new starts if they were not curious, by nature, about everything?
So get curious. Get interested. Stay curious and stay inspired! Go on, do yourself a kindness and go find the wonder!
